Description: |
The College sought to provide a permanent facility which would allow students, staff and visitors a place to gather and to withdraw, for reflection and comfort. The building’s external form is deliberated understated. The sensitive use of materials combined with internal spaces bathed in soft, indirect, natural light enhances the spiritual quality of the spaces. The Chapel’s location is prominent and it forms part of a suite of new buildings defining the gateway to the campus. In addition to the Chapel, the lower level of the building provides spaces for the College’s technology hub. |
